The investment bank is a large European player with extensive operations globally,
particularly an extensive emerging markets platform. The emerging markets Cash Equities
business was grown predominantly via a number of acquisitions over a period of time,
with a presence in 15 countries and included over 350 front-office client servicing
professionals (across research, sales, sales-trading, and trading). The Cash Equities
business in the emerging markets space was seen as integral to the suite of products and
services that was on offer from the bank, ensuring it was able to meet its customers’
needs across a diverse set of requirements and geographies. The management wanted to
re-engineer their client service and accountability capabilities across their emerging
markets cash equities business.
